There are infinite options for places to go and things to see.

You may have a list of destinations that you are dying to go to, or you may want to revisit some old favourites. If you do not know where to go then you can enjoy flicking through the guidebooks and getting inspiration.

However, before you head off on your holiday there are a few things that you should do in order to stay safe and ensure that your holiday runs smoothly.

You need to have your mobile caravan regularly serviced in order to keep it safe and to spot any problems before they happen. As well as that, do a visual check of your caravan before each trip. Check the tyres, the body work, the lights, the electrics, gas and water so you don’t discover that something is amiss just as you pitch up.

Before you set off make a note of mobile caravan service centres close to your destination, so if you do run into trouble you can easily fix it.

If you are going to a new destination or trying out a new caravan site, check out reviews and ask around to see if anyone has visited before. This way you will know if somewhere is suitable, as it is easy for a site to exaggerate in their own advertising. It will also alert you of any problems, such as noise or lack of facilities before you go.

Keep your caravan fully stocked with essentials, such as food, cooking equipment, medicines and a good road atlas. Therefore, if you get stuck somewhere or arrive very late then you will still be able to get a good nights sleep without having to find a supermarket first. Stow everything in your caravan safely to avoid any spills or breakages when you are in transit.

It wouldn’t be a good mobile caravan holiday without the odd obstacle to overcome or adventure on the road. However, you are on holiday to relax so a few preparations before you go will mean that everything will run as smooth as possible and you don’t waste valuable holiday time fixing any problems.
